CABO DE GATA
I will be out for a week. You will find me in another planet, wearing a cocktail diving dress, a mask and a tube. Coming out just for taking deep breathes, I will be busy watching the inhabitants of deep blue planet, playing under the water and diving until I am dizzy. Life inthere is too fascinating and that turns you into an voyeur, a disturbing addiction we will never quit.

PINK PLANET COCKTAIL RECIPE
I like the art of cocktails. The bartenders. The shakers. James Bond drinking a Dry Martini. The infinite possibilities and combinations of tastes and colours. The talking. The hands holding glasses. His wet lips smiling after the taste. The word cocktail party, cocktail dress, cocktail glass, cocktail bar. There is such poetry in a cocktail. From a huge cocktail party for two, under the pinkier sky in the world, there goes PINK PLANET RECIPE: Take 3 oz. champagne; 3/4 oz. strawberry liqueur; 2 oz. strawberry puree; 1/2 oz. lemon juice; 1 tablespoon caster sugar. Rim a white wine with strawberry liqueur and caster sugar. Blend all ingredients -except champagne- briefly with threequarters of a glass full of crushed ice. Pour into the glass and add champagne. Garnish with a strawberry-half and serve with short straws. Life is a cocktail party.
TEENAGE HEARTACHE HEALING RECIPE
Teenage pains hurt exactly like eating your own heart. A violently ripped apart, bitter, old and raw heart. Cold. Yet a heart that beats so loud, shinning bright as a red horseradish with a green neon hair on top, splashed with sprinkling diamondlike tiny waterdrops all over. Craving for love but crying and shouting for gold, dancing Kizomba all the time, Mimi is getting back to school tomorrow. With all my love that heals and a large mug of cinnamon and lemon warm milk (put a lemon zest and a stick of Ceylan cinnamon into boiling milk and let it infuse for just a few seconds, add a spoonful of honey and some vanilla in case the night is hard and the dreams are black), I wish her the very best. And OM.

LISBOA KNITTING MEET UP GROUP

I LIKE FEELING LIKE A QUEEN (A NICE AND HAPPY ONE)
Taking Dodo out in the street makes me feel great, specially in places where people love dogs and are nice and joyful, as in Seville streets for instance. Dodo gives and gets hugs and kisses, I get greetings, words of admirations and congratulations, and meet lots of people with whom I often have nothing in common but the love of dogs. Bad feelings about someone in particular? No problem, I just say he bites and we won't be bothered. It happened just once or twice. Dodo lovers just seem to have a profile that pleases me. It is like some sort of "healing through walking your dog therapy". Makes me smile, makes me feel good, makes me feel like a Queen of the Catwalks. And it makes Dodo feel quite happy too. This girl designs sparkling tiaras and starlike jewelry. It is absolutly glamourous. Hollywood style.
ENGLISH BULLDOG
My most beloved French Bulldog Dodo -so often pictured, drawed and painted in my works-was just this close to be a TV star. He would be starring an ad but someone thought an English Bulldog would do better. No hard feelings though, we wish him the best and can't wait to see him on Tv. Talking about English Bulldogs, Tyson is a kind of absolutly amazing one. Sans rancune et toujours heureux, Dodo will keep on modelling just for me. Now, after a nice birthday party weekend in Alentejo, we are back home and we are really busy shopping some must haves for Fall/Winter 2003/2004 at Trixie + Peanut. For Fashion connaisseurs dogs only.

FAVOURITE WALL
Tenho muita sorte. Adoro-as.
I LOVE THIS PHOTO AND IT'S MY BIRTHDAY
I have heard about them but I have never seen those photos of auras before. I love this photo because little dee dee is so cute. But today it seems to me that I am glowing a purple aura around my messed up hair. And the colour of the sky is just so perfect, and so are the white and grey houses. The whole atmosphere makes me smile. And it is my birthday today.

MY PRINCE TOOK A NAP BY THE WATERFALL
Was it magic? He is kind and gentle and supportive and brave and creator of most beautiful things like the lamps you see on this weblog. That day he took a nap by the waterfall, he swam, laid down in a rock and slept facing the sun. I was watching laid down in the grass, so enchanted I couldn't sleep. I just watched him sleeping so peacefully. Yet. when he woke up he looked for some peace in my eyes. Was it true? Was the water fresh and the weather hot and sunny?
HI! I AM UPHERE
Flying lady again. I did one once as an unconcious doodle while talking on the phone and became obsessed with them. Does it mean that I wish so much to fly with my own wings? Does it mean that I don't have my feet on the ground? Does it mean nothing at all and it is just a drawing? Anyway I like to paint them in their fancy dresses and high laced boots. This bag measures 35 x 35 cms and costs 80 Euros. You can hang it in your wall as a painting when you are not carrying it.
DODO AND DEE DEE
Dee Dee goes walking with Growing Roses in heavenslane tote and Dodo. I love this tote. It is perfect for carrying magazines, your needles and your knit work. The tote measures 24 x 45 cms. All bags are made of hard handpainted and varnished canvas. They can be delivered with a special gift package and a hand written label wIth your special message. This one costs 100 Euros and is one of a kind. This nice picture is from my friend Isabel Pinto.
FLYING LADIES
I draw and I paint lots of winged characters, mostly girls and people tend to call them angels, but I have to say here that they are wrong. Ask one of my girls if she is an angel. She will answer: "I am not a bird, but I fly. I have wings, but I am not an angel too. Angels are rather spiritual charming creatures and I am really working on it but I still am a material girl. So, I am just a lady who flies. I am so light I can fly. You just need a warm wind blowing, a green prairie (to take off by the running method}, a blue sea, a white wall (to take off by the jumping method) and a soft blue parrot colinnette point 5 yarn knitted jacket . Nice oufit and beautiful shoes are required, off course. Then, take off. If you are light enough, you will fly. Heavy souls never, never get to fly."

COLINNETTE POINT 5 YARN
I spent some days in paradise. I knitted, I swam in warm water, I laughed with wonderful people, I cooked. I took with me about 500 grs. of colinnette point 5 yarn in blue parrot and knitted a jacket. Then, one day at tea, music was Adriana Calcanhoto, Pat made a huge beautiful pompom, using the same yarn and suggested :" knit a narrow and very long triangular hood like arabs have in their djellahbas and sew the pompom in the end". I think it will be amazing like the days I spent in this island. Thank you, Christophe and Pat and Anthony and Babytiger and Dee Dee and Rimbaud.
